Note!
Traditional Irish Set Dance is a high intensity, cardiovascular activity performed among multiple people with varying degrees of ability and knowledge within a small space which could result in collision or fall and physical injury or medical trauma. Dancer accepts personal responsibility for such injury or trauma. Francis O’Neill Club (FON) assumes no responsibility for falls or injuries that may occur during lessons or events.
Join us at our weekly ceili practices. We'll help you learn the basics.
Bring a partner, or just bring yourself--we'll provide partners!
NOTE:
Special shoes and/or clothes are not necessary, but here are some suggestions:
Shoes: Wear comfortable shoes with leather soles, if possible, that make it easy for your feet to slide across the floor. Many women find that a small heel works well.
Clothes: Loose fitting clothes that allow you to move.
Bring a water bottle if you have one. We provide water and small cups but many people find it convenient to bring a larger container.
